Lea Awunou Roufaï is the founder and Managing Director of LEA RESIDENCE. As an international consultant in banking and finance for some twenty years, she decided to return to her roots in 2016, by immersing herself in the art world in Benin, from which she comes by family tradition.
In 2019, she joined the presidential committee in charge of the elaboration of the national strategy for the promotion of visual arts in Benin, then in 2020, she was appointed by the Council of Ministers as the General Director of the National Gallery of Benin, a government agency under the supervision of the Ministry of Arts whose main mission is to promote visual arts in all their forms.
Since 2023, she has put her passion and determination to reveal the artistic talents of Benin, Africa and elsewhere at the heart of her activities.
